Hello, I’m Burgandy!
My painting exploration started from a death experience.
At the age of 20 I was in a severe car accident that propelled my consciousness outside of my physical form. This experience was deeply profound and transformed my understanding of physical reality.
Like many near-death experiences, I did see the all-encompassing Light. For me, this Light was multidimensional and composed of a spectrum of colors I’d never seen before, and furthermore these color frequencies seemed to correspond with more elevated states of consciousness.
I’ve dedicated my life to visually conveying the profound insight I gained into how frequency serves as a bridge between Spirit and the physical world.

My work is deeply inspired by a near-death experience following a car accident, which left me with vivid visions I felt compelled to express through painting. At the time, I did not yet have the language for those multidimensional experiences, so I continued to paint and trusted that the Universe would provide the tools I needed. That journey still guides my work today, and I have more paintings in mind than I can count.

Acrylic and water-soluble oils, working in some fluorescent pigment from time to time. I use both synthetic and sable brushes on wood or cotton canvas.
